Taken yesterday afternoon at Bean Hollow state beach during low tide. I liked the contrast between the guy up high in the sun and the two in the shade occasionally getting wet from the waves. I think I know which spot I would have preferred.

Please hammer on! Honest critique is appreciated. Reposts welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Anders

I would have been in the sun as well. Entertaining shot.

Oftentimes uneven light is not successful but I think it works here. The spotlighting takes my eye right to the subject, then I wander over to explore the other two below and then back to the main. Good eye!

Anders,
I'll second what Dennis said. A very interesting contrast between the two subjects.

As a side thought, I was watching the image as it opened and noticed a very strong pano image with the bottom of the frame just above the shaded seals.

Great! The bright spot light on one while the others are in the shade is a really interesting contrast, as others have said.

Hey Anders,

This is the kind of shot I really like .. some tension to it .. I agree also with Chrisno crop, but my choice would be to crop some from the top and the bottom, keeping more of the image concentrated solely on the interplay between the lit seal and the 2 in the shade.

Cheers

Carl
