Make Canon
Model EOS D60
Flash Used No
Focal Length 400 mm (100-400L)
Exposure Time 1/60 sec
Aperture f/16
ISO Equivalent 100

This didn't make the initial cuts because I didn't quite like the ground area but on balance I think the sharp head and water background overcomes that.

Dick,

The elk looks nice and sharp and he is a beautiful specimen but on my monitor the color looks off.

Very nice light and the head is quite sharp. It would have been nice if he had turned his whole body around but the head turn is nice. The water is a nice BG.

Great shot Dick. Love the ocean in the background. I didnt find this a very easy place to get nice shots like this. Is this a crop? Wouldnt mind a little more room around but not necessary..

Dick, the backward glance while eating is great. I'm seeing some funky colors too, maybe a bit too much cyan.

The light was very warm and funky`-- these colors are actually toned down a bit. Not much of a crop. I hiked a little bit for this (with my wife waiting in the car yelling at me to get back there... :x )
