Taken in Katmai NP.

Slight curves adjustment, and some P/S work to tone down the brightest water ever so slightly. Probably needs some more P/S to get it 'right'.

Cheers

Very different & very nice to get a small fall smooth and a bear quite intent on fishing. A quiet, intimate moment well captured. While I like the composition as it stands, I would be tempted to crop a bit from the bottom to eliminate the bright spot, although the trade-off is to my taste a slightly weaker composition.

Very nice, Carl. The idyllic setting and nice light make it wonderful.

Nice the the bear was still enough for the required exposure. As long as you are tweaking you might bring don't the white water in the bottom center. but even with that it is a very nice shot.

Nice capture. I like the smooth water, not easy with an animal in the shot.

I'm seeing a slight magenta cast as well.

Nice shot. I agree with the white water at the bottom needing to be toned down a bit but I really like the combination of sharp animal and blurred water flow.

Cold just be my monitor but that bear doesn't look terribly sharp. I have had problems with shots at Katmai in that respect as well.

Nice effect with the blurred water. The light on the vegetation is also very nice. I like how the bear is part of the total scene and not the main focus.

Lovely shot Carl. It almost looks like a painting. It is a bit tight on the right for my tastes and I like it better with some of the bright water cropped off the bootom. That said, I do like it enough that if it was mine it would probably go up on the wall.

VERY well done. Getting a sharp animal and blurred water is not easy to do.

This is extremely cool!
I'm amazed at how sharp the bear is, considering the ss needed for the water.

Well done!

Carl, Great shot! Pretty amazing to have a bear stand still enough for a sharp shot of it with blurred water. Like others said, I like how you included the bear's fishing hole and falls. The colors look a little funky though, with a bit of purplish cast in some of the water and some spots on the bear. Since nobody else has mentioned it, I'm not sure if it's from my uncalibrated eyes or not. I'd also prefer a bit more room behind the bear.

Carl,
I really like the water and setting here. Nice work.... and that place is not easy to get nice light on either.

Great shot Carl! More subtle than most of the bear fishing images that we see. I like the intensity of the bear.
