I found this critter in the grass while I was going to shoot jumping salmon last summer. Beaver have pretty lousy eyesight. He knew something wasn't quite right, especially when the shutter released. After a couple of shots, he'd had enough of my strange noises and headed back to his river.

Nice shot...great color and level.

No comment about whether he's a good judge of character. 8)

Very cute shot. The low angle makes it. Thanks for all your posts in Wildlife. Keep 'em coming.

This is terrific and per you usual high standards. Love the head cocked to the side and being able to see the detail in the front feet, nails etc. The low perspective is excellent. Way to go!

Tim, another terrific one! The head turned, perfect exposure, surrounding greenery and flowers, cute little paws, and just a hint of dirty buck teeth are all great.

Nice shot of an animal that's typically very difficult to capture out of the water. The low angle and tilt of the head really make this shot for me.

I really like this one alot, Tim -- great job of composition and framing, and you captured him in a perfect post. I agree it's unique and interesting to see a beaver photographed outside of water.
