European Brown Bear
Captive
EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4, ISO400, 1/79 sec. F16, 550EX @BB -1. Handheld.

We often go to our local wildlife park and wander round to see old friends :) The Bears have a great enclosure with two ponds, mature trees and shrubs and plenty of places to get out of sight when they want privacy. When they do appear, it is often for just a few moments before they wander off into the bushes again. This one paused long enough to give a little eye contact before departing.

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

This is a very nice shot, especially considering the hot light behind the bear.

Carol,
I think you handled the fill flash very well on this. Otherwise the exposure would have been very tough. Great job.
