This shot was made after my earlier post of a bull Elk bugling in the water. After he finished crossing, this cow and a calf came into the lake to drink--unfortunately, none of the shots with both were any good. The light and water color here were far better than with the bull. I have the same thing horizontal, but had trouble with that scan--getting the water blue enough without overcooking the pinkish flank isn't easy. Lake Estes, Estes Park, CO, EOS-3, 600 IS, EV -1/3 or -2/3, Provia 100 F at 200 and pushed one stop.

Very nice shot, Cliff. I really like the saturation of the colors here, with the well-exposed bright elk flank against the solid blue background. I also like how here drinking water is highlighted by the sky reflections, and the only improvement would be if that were all fit in the frame. I'm sure it is in the horizontal.

Very nice- especially the relection. The exposure is right on the money.

This crop is certainly nice but I'm really wondering about the horizontal. 'Hope you get it scanned and posted.

Awesome! (And another one where I would have guessed digital if not for the writeup - and again intended as a compliment. :) )
