Blacktail Deer inhabit the Western United States, large bucks are extremely secretive and many times nocturnal. Summer is a window of time where opportunities can possibly be had. Lots of study, homework and field work finally brought this amazing specimen in front of the camera. Light from the rising sun was peeking through the large timber he was headed into for his day bed.

A little tight at the bottom but the rising sun puts this handsome buck in the spotlight - where he belongs! Beautiful image, Terry.
