I believe this is Pallas's Long-tongued Bat (Glossophaga soricina).

A beautiful capture of this night time nectaring bat, Des! Such colour harmony that the bat appears to be a part of the flower. Great image!

Wow- perfect capture of the the moment-an amazing shot! I love how the plant and bat are so similar-makes for a very harmonious composition.

Now that's a photo you don't see everyday, wow! I was immediately drawn to the bats tongue and what it was doing but then as my eyes looked around the image I discovered the flower petals are of the same colour and texture, amazing! Fantastic photo, thanks for sharing.

PS - I am curious, how was this lit?

Multiple flash guns for front as well as rim light.

It's a banana heart/blossom but am not sure of the exact species.

Cool moment and behavior, their name seems to be quite precise. Great that we can see the long tongue.

Lovely shot and the colors are superb! The flower is a banana flower. The flowers are actually edible.
