Another frame from a Hyena den we visited, this little one was just chilling just outside the den entrance, as the 'clan' had left to hunt. Just think at this age they have very distinctive features, some feel they are cute, but then wait until they reach Adulthood!!! Personally I would have liked a tad more below, just a wee bit tight for me.

lol ya cute isn't quite the word that comes to mind but it is a good image (Hyenas give me the creeps :))
The frame doesn't look overly tight to me but if it bothers you you could increase the canvas size and use the spot healing tool and the clone stamp to fill in a bit of the foreground, it would be a minor alteration.

Thanks Malcolm, the framing is just OK for me, having a tad more below will balance the image more, but I can live with it.

As you say, I could extend below, no problem, but there are better ways to add any additional canvas compared to Spot or Clone as these can create repeat patterns no matter how good you and would easily be picked up and not pass QC checks, but the tools now are far more specific for key applications. :)

Well I have a lot of respect for the hyena and their place in the overall scheme of things, and yes, the cubs are just as cute as the other babies.  :)

A sweet pose and the light catches this little one beautifully.  A lovely image, Steve.

Interesting how the young of most species trigger "cute" in our human minds. And this IS cute to my mind. A lovely inquisitive pose .
