This its really nice, Jake! Good pose of the lion in attractive habitat. This should to be viewed large to enjoy the excellent detail. Well done! :D

Nicely done Jake! Excellent image. He looks like one you wouldn't want to mess with. The darker the mane normally denotes a mature, healthy lion with higher testosterone levels - he would be a real hit with the females!

When we were in Zambia we had no problem with the blonde maned lions, but then a real black maned male appeared and was even reported as attacking a couple of the safari land cruisers and really frightening the occupants. He was very fired up!

Thanks Carol:  I have not been to Zambia but it is on my bucket list so hopefully someday.  However, I don't want to meet up with the one Lion that attacked the vehicles - which must have been Very Scary.
