Arctic fox
Churchill, Manitoba

While driving in our cars the first day we were fortunate to see several arctic fox moving among the rock formations. This pup was kind enough to sit still for an ever so short period of time so we could get a few shots out the car window.

Canon 20D with 500mmIS and 1.4TCII on beanbag out car window, ISO 200, 1/640 @f/5.6. Cropped slightly from the right and bottom

Gorgeous. I love the rim light around the pup. The expression on his/her face is very cute. Excellent shot.

Stunning shot Cheryl! wonderful pose and composition. The lighting is gorgeous and set off so beautifully against the blue shadowed BG. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Wonderful. In addition to things already mentioned, I like the warm light on the fox contrasted with the cool blue background.

The lichens look very different in winter (I've never been up that time of year).
