Spotted this guy along with a doe he was tending bedded down in a ravine right behind my house. I grabbed my gear trying to stay out of sight of the doe figuring he wasn't going anywhere unless the doe left. I got as close as I could and had time for two shots before the doe spooked and they were gone.

I know it's cluttered but that was the way it was.

20D, 500, ISO 400, f/8, 1/250

Good to see you posting.. I like this one. Nice fall colors. Kind of a camoflage shot, but its easy to pick the deer out of the background. Nice portrait in nice light.. Thanks for sharing..

That is a great looking buck. Excellent job getting into position without spooking the doe, not easy to do with deer that are not protected. I don't mind the clutter either. You wouldn't expect to see this guy bedded down in a wide open space. Nice job!!!

Wonderful shot of a really wild buck. He looks so relaxed. As they try to blend in when they bed down this really shows that. Great shot.
