This is my attempt at an atmospheric image and although you can't see the usual expected detail I just love the light and it's direction and for me it says more about the experience than I ever can with words.

This is like an old sepia print from years gone by John. Personally, it doesn't have the same impact for me as your other shots but as a part of the overall collection then it certainly has its place.

A wonderful series portrayed with great sensitivity. Well done! 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

It does look a bit like a sepia print. the top is a bit too bright and distracting for me and I find myself really wanting to see more detail in the face. I'll bet it was incredible to see though. Keep em coming.

This is an evocative image and I'm not surprised the comments are somewhat varied- personal taste is a big part of reacting to an image like this. I say this because I like the brightness- I like high key images though. I like the banding through the background and the placement of the bear. My nit is I wish he was looking the other way, for me that would strengthen the composition. Anyway I like it!

I like the mood and solitude captured here. Maybe just a little dodging in the face or highlight shadow work for a titch more detail there.. Another fine image..

This is certainly an interesting an different image, which is always nice to see. Different tastes and shooting styles are great to see. I do wish the face was just a bit brighter- which can be done wth a bit of tinkering. Nice shot- I like it!

Hey John,

I like the idea here, but I think it's stronger either cropped a bit from the top or the bottom .. leaving the lightlight competing with the bear only above or under him .. it balances better, IMO.

Cheers

Excellent moody shot John.

I love shots like this with lots of atmosphere, but I do think it has more impact with the top chopped down below the water. Still an excellent shot.

Before I read any of the comments, the sepia tone of this is also what first caught my attention. Well done!
