Shadow in the Grass

This is a black bear in long grass. I like subtle shots, although they're more difficult to pull off than a critter in the open type image.

Hey Tim,

I like these kinds of shots too -- though perhaps I'd like to see a little more of the bear than I do here. Those ears sure give away what species he is. :)

Had a great trip man, and I look forward to seeing you guys and shooting together again next year.

I like it! something different indeed. This works well, I think at least in part because the grass in front is fairly uniform in density and softness forming a sort of veil.

I like this one a lot, Tim! It has a soft misty look to it and I love the bits of sharply focused grass. The colors of the grass highlight the colors of the bear. I like the bit of blue at the top, myself.
