Motif: Leopard from Okojima, Namibia

This is not a captive animal. Okojima baits a hillside with meat and on a regular basis 2 leopards will come down this and even climb into a tree which is also baited. We were in a cement blocklong pillbox structure which was totally in darkness as the sun set on this redrock hillside. I like how the tail appears like a periscope.

You certainly need to know where your light is for your LCD so you can make your settings.

F5, 300AF-I lens, probably 1.4x, 100VS, doubtful if I used flash, f 5.6 or 6.3. Taken about 8 years ago, cropped 30 %.

Sweet light; wonderful pose. Love the almost inquisitive stare and the bit of a tail showing. (Tail really makes it for me.)
