This is a 4 year old whitetail on my tree farm in central Wisconsin, shot yesterday. He and his brother both survived last years hunting season, so it will be fun to see how big his head gear gets this year. They evaded my photographic efforts last fall, but this year..??

Very nice! It looks like he's off to a good start with those antlers. I'll be looking forward to more shots of him as those antlers mature.

Very pretty! Not sure if it was a bit hazy or if the photo is just lacking in contrast. Other than that this is great.

Nice catch Jack and I like that you've included some of the environment too, it really sets him off. Good DOF and detail on this fine looking animal and it will be great if you can catch him later with his full set! 8) 8) 8) :)

Beautiful shot! Details on the deer are very nice and I love the environmental background, particularly the little white wildflowers around his feet. Maybe it's just me, but I like the rather misty ambiance that the low contrast gives your photo.

Nicely done. I like the low contrast/misty look as that it how it often is early in the am when you might find these guys. I hope you get more shots as the rack grows.

Nice capture. I prefer the OP, it's very atmospheric.

I am with Apana. I like the original better. the second appears a bit yellow and I like the mood of the first.
