Black Leopard
Captive EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/79 -1. 550EX -1. Another from the private collection of a rare Leopard conservationist. I know this is not a good image of this magnificent cat, but I hope it helps to convey the awesome 'presence' of these spectacular animals. This male and his mate were very cautious and almost constantly on the move, making photography extremely difficult. Shooting through the enclosure in bright sun did not help either. When, after being there for several hours, we had gained their trust, they decided to lay down right against the front fence, so being just inches away made it possible to touch them! we resisted!!, but impossible to take a picture!! All coments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking. Carol Clarke
