Robert,

Interesting animalscape. I like seeing the deer with a lot of BG but the comp doesn't work for me. Perhaps a crop from the left and top to put the deer in a stronger position.

Hi Robert,

I have looked at this and gone away and come back again! I realise now what bugs me about this shot.

The reason it doesn't work for me, is that the subject is looking out of the image, which totally kills the effect of all that negative space. If only the deer were looking into the BG, or across from left to right more, it would work IMHO. 8) :)

I like the idea here, but I think Carol is right about the deer looking out of the image. You might consider cropping to a pano format. Then the doe is looking more into the negative space of the image.
