Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus)
Shenandoah National Park


10D, 100-300 f4.5-5.6, ISO 400, f9.5, 1/125, tripod.
Crop to 4x5 ratio.

Cute little guy and a very nice photo. A little bit of sharpening around the head would bring this to the next level.

Thanks EJ for pointing out the softness in the head. I gave it another minor shot of USM and I think it helps.

ROFL! The look on this guy's face suggests he's had a really tough day. The log and fern complement the chipmunk very well. Composition is wonderful.

This is wonderful Chris!! The expression is a classic and to put it politely he looks a little 'miffed'!!
