Baxter State Park vicinity, ME

I have been to Maine to photograph moose calves born in late May, early June for the past 6 years now. I cannot get enough of these not-so-little ones. And, they sell, as this one did in an overseas book :wink:

I like the light on the calf, which really makes him stand out of the picture. His look towards You, also sums up the curiosity that these young fellows have of new things and often they even lose the sight of mom. Then the frantic calling begins...this is a superb image and really sums up the behaviour of little moose in their early days.
