Been gone for a while, couple of weeks in Torres del Paine, Chile. Mostly scenics there & relatively little wildlife. However, the guanacas and fox were ridiculously tame (and the scenics were simply incredible). Spent one morning by myself with a couple of small herds of guanacas and have everything from head shots to scenics. After a couple of minutes with them, the only problem was they completely stopped paying attention to me so getting them to look & pose was a little bit of a challenge. Lighting looks a little flat, but I preferred this to bright sun as the clouds were in and out. Suggestions and reposts welcome.

10D, 100-400 at 100., 1/1250 at f5, ISO 400, flash at -1&1/3. Catchlight is in her eye although it's not visible here.

Rich, The alert pose of this huge-eyed guanaca in a beautiful landscape is just great. I've always wanted to explore South America and this really makes me want to go there even more.
