This is one of approximately 177 cats living in a big cat sanctuary in Tampa, Fla. She's in a very large area by a river and I was directly over her head on a suspension bridge. The focal length was 500mm. with basically no cropping.

Really nice portrait. I like the diffused lighting and it appears extremely sharp. What a gorgeous animal!

Gorgeous shot of my favourite big cat. Pin sharp, and love the eyes watching something. Great shot Harvey.

This is a beautiful portrait. Your statement that you were "directly over her head" certainly led me to expect a much different perspective than this. This perspective is almost straight on and is much better than I anticipated from your statement. This is super!

Beautiful image...it has some of the darker shadows that sets the mood, as in your last post. Must be your style..You have demonstrated some very important points regarding captive shooting in zoos- shoot tight and if you have big glass it helps to minimize the angle effect from shooting above. The colors and sharpness are killer IMHO. Nice diffuse eye shine and remarkable DOF for F5.6 (thats digital for you)... I really enjoyed this post.

This is just so nice. There is so much apparent texture it seems I could reach out and feel the fur. I love it Harvey.

Harvey this is wonderful. The look is so intense it makes me want to back up a bit. The detail is great and the dark BG just adds to the overall 'don't mess with me' mood of the image.
