I really enjoy the yawn here.. Nice work on the exposure. Love the greenery in the background.. Makes for a natural looking picture which can be tough under these conditions. I can see another square comp here with just the subject on the left eye.

Are there any restrictions on taking camera stuff into San Diego. I remember some "issues" there a few years back?

Neat shot Steve. I also think it would be stronger with just the hippo on the left but I do like the simultaneous yawn.

Thanks Dennis. No one had any problems with my using a 80-400mm lens at either the San Diego Zoo or San Diego Wild Animal Park. I have been there numerous times (it's a hour+ from my house) and never had any problems.

Maybe it would be different if I brought in my 600mm.
