E. Seal- leftovers of the feast

This was a full elephant seal the night before and this is what was left the next morning. There was a respectful flock the night before. Most had leftt and this one was still picking whatever it could.
Exposure and equipment not recorded.

Whoa! I hope I never fall asleep on that beach if the scavengers are that efficient! :shock:

It seems to lack details, but there's no doubt what has happened.

Good to see you posting again, Steve. I don't recall seeing any of your images recently.

I agree, don't fall asleep, but if you do, make sure you move occasionally. they only eat you if you are still.
I have been busy and have not been posting for a while.

I like the almost mono feel to this shot, with the only colour coming from the scavenger.

Tough life, being a seal.
