Transvaal Lion SD Zoo Dec. 2000

After seeing all these great cat posts in this forum, I thought I would contribute to the motif with this shot of one of two brothers that the Zoo had on display from 1994 until just a couple years ago when they were moved away. I spent a lot of time at this Zoo shooting the big cats back in the early 90's. You can tell the boys spent a fair amount of time roughing each other up. Full frame.

This is terrific Mike. Nice light, tight crop, and perfect sharpness. Intent stare and the scars really adds visual impact for me.. Well done as usual and thanks for coming over to Wildlife.......

Excellent! The color, the eyes and the scars show this this guy has character and you're captured it very well.
