Eastern Chipmunk
Orr, MN This was taken this May on a black bear workshop. When the bears were not around, we had to make do and 'shoot the rodents'. This chipmunk was not shy about taking the biggest carrot in the pile. Canon 10D with 500IS and 1.4 TCII on tripod, ISO 400, 1/1600 @ 6.3 ( I have no idea what I had been set to shoot at this speed and ISO-a flying bear on a cloudy day maybe!) Cropped from vertical to get rid of huge splashes of whitewash. Cheryl Ertelt
