Canon DSLR, 400/2.8IS, tripod

While out photographing deer this sly little fellar tried to sneak by in the shadows but I caught him as he broke into a patch of light. A little squeek and I got the post before he took off.

Wonderful light, great color, good depth of focus, and a curious intensity shown in the fox. The lifted front and rear leg add to the certainty that this one is about to depart. I like this image somewhat better with a crop to reduce the foreground leaf clutter, as it doesn't really add much to the image. What do you think? :?

A great shot of a fox!

I do find the blue shadows distracting, though--I wonder a little PS work might tone those down a bit?

Dan, great capture. I would crop slightly and knock down some of the cool color cast.
