This is photoshop composite image. The stairway was photographed at a prison in an ancient military fort. I got to thinking what it would feel like if you were not free to pursue nature photography and I came up with this interpretation.

Stairway: Canon EOS 3/17-35
Trees and Clouds: Canon D60/100-400mm
Ibis Flock: Canon D60/100-400mm

I really like the stairs and the rock wall a lot. I think overall the compositional elements are very nice and complimentary to each other. The small things I think would improve this would be to ahve the base of the trees so it looks like they were growing atop the rock wall and also have the geese be pure silhouettes which would just look more natural with the sky as shown.

Overall I think it is very nice. I could see a Jerry Uellsman (spelling?) type image with the stairs and wall and something else too since it has that feeling almost already (at least to me).

This is a well crafted composite. I really like the way all the elements in the lower half of the image focus the view's attention to the center. Very nice indeed.
