Olympus OM-D E-M1 (Original model)
ISO 200 1/000 sec. f/4.5 On July 15, 2015 I climbed to the top of Mt. St. Helens for the second time in my 70's. My younger brother (by 15 months) beat me up by at least an hour. He's a mountain climber (or was .. gave that up after age 70) so I'm delighted he's still in great shape. Took me 8.5 hours for the round trip. Not terrible for a guy at 72 but not great either. It took my brother a little less than 7 hours to do the same ... super good for that trail. At going on 77 (on January 30th) I no longer feel the urge to do strenuous hikes. I just enjoy moderate day hikes. Panorama is from 12 exposures. I had to use PS to add some of the fine lava scree on some sections near the bottom of the image .. I was very tired when creating the images at the summit and wasn't paying enough attention to compositional detail . Mike |
