Shark-finning

With  "Environment, Conservation & Ethics" forum still locked, I will post this topic here.  I apologize if this is the wrong forum but this is something that has been at the back of my mind for a while.  I never get used to seeing animals suffer but the impact of the photo that accompanied this link took me to a new low.

I felt truly sick trying to look at this photo as well as others. It is one thing to kill an animal for no apparent good reason but it takes it to another level to just cruelly maim an animal and leave it to die. I realize the organization at the link may not be everyone's favorite but I need to vent my anger/horror at how we treat wild animals. And all for a stupid elitist food dish.
