a Honeybee nectaring on the rudbeckia's, that now started flowering in my garden; as these bees are really active, had to shoot this handheld with limited dof; i really was surprised by the ragged ends of the wings of this (probably hard working) specimen
canon 10d, 150 mm macro, natural light,

Hi Herman
I think this limited DOF works well here; producing a nice sharp image of the subject, showing a good indication of the background while producing that all important pop of the subject. A really pleasing shot and certainly up to your normal excellent standard.

Regards
Matthew

Nice sharp selective focus, the bee is in a nice spot in the frame.

Very nice shot. The light is lovely. Very interesting to see the wings so chewed up.
