Although I have had many different hobbies, photography has been my only constant since the age of ten. Started with a Leica 3f, which I got from my parents, with two lenses. A 50 and 90 !!! What else would you need. After a year or so trying learn loading the camera I was able to start making images. Not good but images.
Continued using Leicas until the digital age. Along with the range-finder did have some SLRs Nikon at the start then switching to Canon. Most of my SLR shooting was U/W in which I was able to publish in books, magazines and sell for stock. While doing the U/W work my attention on land was turned to B&W large and Medium format. Did all my own lab word (b&w and color) again until digital came along. Miss those fumes!!! I think they have had a lasting effect!!!!
Some of the hobbies along with my photography have been target shooting in which I won the State Championship several times and came second Nationally, Alligator wrestling (no misprint here), Motorcycle Road Racing, Diving (NAUI Instructor), fishing light tackle tournament and a couple of other.
Now my entire focus is in Birds slowly shifting to mammals . I still have to work for a living but do spend every other minute enjoying my photography, do some workshops and one one sessions. Very rewarding. My photo equipment is Canon and I have from fish-eye to 600 lenses. The 500 & 600 being the most used for bird photography.
