I always thought it was cool on my way to Montreal that the speed limit changed to 100 as soon as I crossed the border. :D

:lol: :lol: :lol: I wish they had put speed limits up like this when I was in Alaska...including in the water for whales, then maybe I would have gotten more wildlife shots that were worth posting. Nice details and I like the way that the head is wrapped around the signpost.

It's a bit contrasty, but still a nice shot!

I was a kid when the speed limits changed from mph to km/h. For a long while the signs actually had km/h on them (about the same size as the "maximum", but underneath the number), but that changed sometime...

I do find I see a lot more wildlife when obeying the limits in places like the road to Maligne Lake (60 km/h, most people do 80-90 :shock: ) and in Elk Island (actually, I often do 40-50 in Elk Island, which is a 60 zone).
