That's gorgeous Gigo...where in the Gables is this?

Very nice Daniel, great composition and beautiful colors. A real eye opener!!!!
....you even got your clouds!!!!! and that one palm sticking up seems to make a difference to my eye.

Was that at Matheson?

Agree with the comment about the one palm sticking up adding character. My only gripe would be that it's too hot around the sun - another shot a few seconds later might have been much better ?

thanks all for your thoughtful comments !

it would have been hard to get it 'less hot' without sacrificing the foreground

my idea in the shot was to place all the elements (palm sticking up, children, lifegard stand) in one of the 'thirds'

pete: you don't recognize good ol' matheson hammock park ? :D that's the lagoon !

I think this is fine as is. The hot area could easily be toned down but I see skies like this on a daily basis and the hot area is 255 in real time so I see no reason to change it.

Yum, liquid gold. Yeah, the sun's bright, but it's supposed to be and there is detail right there in the cloud. Very nice!

Hadn't been there in years...I had a feeling it was the hammock...I need to visit there again....
