Shenandoah National Park
Photographer - Nick Kalathas

I met Nick shortly after sharing this photograph with him. He is a fantastic photographer and has offered me lots of advice on improving my photography. Thanks Nick!

Very nice image with wonderful color. The deer are well placed against the lighter vegetation. I might hold back the exposure of the photographer in Photoshop to better match the deer. For the future, it looks like the deer were the point of focus, leaving the photographer slightly soft. Focusing 1/3 of the way between the photographer and the deer might be a good compromise.

Fully agree with Cliff.... would also place the photographer a tad more on the corner to have more negative space to the right of the deer.

Wonderful light and a great looking image. Thanks for posting :)

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

I like the image and the suggestions. Great patterns in the grasses.
