I've shot the Moulton Barn for decades. But after sunrise last Sunday, Oct 2, 2011 - after shooting at the Oxbow and all its color and vibrancy, I headed back to the barns like many photographers do. Schwabacher's was jammed with cars, and there was a crowd at the barns. Luckily, everyone was to the southside, shooting the barn with the Tetons in the background ... kind of the classic shot. But the clouds thickened and a few raindrops splashed down. I moved north of the barn and from a low angle shot back against the mountain. Fittingly, the barn seemed to blend into its rustic, decaying environment - no gorgeous, jagged mountains to counter its weeds and solitude. Pictures tell a story.

Nikon D3s body, 24-120mm VR lens, f16 at 1/10s, +.5 eV, ISO 100, Bogen Tripod. RAW converted in ACR.

Superb -- the dark wood really stands out against the misty mountain background, and of course the grass and weeds in the foreground complete the setting perfectly. Love it!!! :D

You did choose a very effective angle. I like the complementary tones of the grasses. I wonder how this would be with a very slight warming in the white balance. It looks just a little blue.

Ya, I agree there is a little Cyan against the mountains. Lots of forest fire smoke.
