Moolit El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, CA by Nikhil Bahl Photographing America’s landscape icons is a challenge, to say the least. They are instantly recognizable and any new image gets compared to the plethora of images that were made before. In the end, only a deeply personal experience combined with some atmospherics, can help you come away with something different. For me, getting “the shot” often comes second. Experiencing the beauty and grandeur of nature is what makes me feel alive. It is that feeling I was trying to convey, via this image. Equipment Used: Nikon D3s, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens at 36mm, 30 sec., f/8, ISO 1600, tripod. Basic RAW processing in Lightroom.
