Image
Brown Bear (Ursus horribilis/middendorfi) – Hallo Bay, AK.

Canon EOS 10D, 600/f4 IS, gitzo 1548/wimberley head.
Manual exposure mode f5.6, 1/500, iso 200, AWB.
RAW image processed in Capture One; sharpened in Photoshop CS (amount = 100 percent; radius = 0.2; threshold = 0 applied five times); cropped from landscape format.

I think I may have posted this here before, but it is still a favourite - shot during STL Workshop in 2003.

Beautiful! I really like the detail and the soft light. The dribbles of water add a nice touch.
