Great shot shot! A shows bit different Alaska to me who have never been there. Good job with the exposure.

Mike, what did you crop from the bottom? I like the small pool of water in the lower right and am just curious about what else was there.

Jenny,
Here's the full frame image. I like the pool at the bottom right also but
I though the small rocks on the left were a bit distracting compared to the cropped version without them.
What do you think ?

I don't think you could go wrong either way. I like seeing more of the pool in the uncropped version but the darkness of the rocks seems a bit heavy (although I do like their textures). You might want to try lightening them a bit and see how that looks. The cropped version is cleaner and having just a hint of the pool of the water is more delicate and leaves more to the imagination.

Like I said, you can't go wrong either way. But it's nice to have different ways to go. :) The subtle colors and limited tones work very well with the composition.

I really like this shot since I was just there in February--great job of capturing the mood and feel of the place.
