Inspired by the wild colors of recently posted sunset images, I dug this image out of my archives and gave a shot at processing it last night. I combined 2 exposures (done thru the RAW conversion process) with the quick and easy to use Photomatix freeware, ran the resulting, noisy image thru Neat image and PSCS2's noise reduction a few times (images that lack detail can withstand such "harsh" noise removel treatment very well), adjusted levels, applied some local contrast enhancement, sized for web, sharpened a tad and viola.
Comments, critiques, etc. welcome. Cheers! Early Spring Sunset over the Chilkat Mtns, SE AK 10D, ISO 800, 1/1000, f/8, 420mm RAW, PSCS2, NI Joe McCabe
