From a field of coreopsis, a dominant June flower in my area:

Thought I'd try something different. Thanks for looking!

Hi Tom
Overall I really like this composition and think that your framing and the light have produced a very fine image indeed. The only suggestion I would have is perhaps the use of reflector (or other means) to brighten the main subject’s underside slightly would have helped to make this flower pop just that little bit more. A different and enjoyable composition.

Regards
Matthew

Hi Tom, I like your image and angle a lot. I agree with Matthew on the reflector or a bit of fill flash in order to lighten up the green under the flower. My only nit is the 2nd flower as well as the purple thing + grass. A yellow monotone would have been stronger in my opinion. Cheers - Dick

very nice one; a lot of moods in this one! ( btw: we have this one as gardenplant ; thus this mean this is a wild species in America? )

I like this as presented or with just a bit off the top. Nice job making the BG shapes and colors work with the subject.

I think you can easily say that this fantastic background could be a subject on its own!
Awesome shot for these eyes Tom!! 8)

Very nicely done! The bg rocks and like the composition created with the main subject and the OOF bg elements. Nice color too BTW!!!
