Nikon D70
Nikon 80-200/2.8 KenkoPro 2xTC Tripod This was taken at the Seal colony at Cape Cross in Namibia. We were unlucky getting a very dull day and with 'only' a few hundred seals, apparently some days it can number thousands and you can shoot them with a wideangle and not the 'effective' 600mm I had to rely on. Thankfully with so 'few' the smell wasn't too bad, only a mild rotten fish perfume lingering on the wind... Also although these are called 'Seals' they're apparently really 'Sealions'... I've got quite a few images of them doing this kind of meditative pose, not sure what they were doing, but they certainly looked relaxed!! Any comments welcome. Cheers, Simon |
