Congratulations! This is the Wildlife image of the week for the week ending 6/17/05!
Image
Canon Eos 10D, EF 100-400, 1/800 sec, f5,6, ISO 400.
Raw converted in PS CS. Slightly cropped at he bottom and left side.

Hi all!
This is the first image I post ever.
I've processed it with my Dell laptop and hope it looks fine.

I spent a whole day the last February with this young red fox in a forest close to Berlin.
Actually, it was playing with this mouse previously captured: I've got the whole sequence of runs and jumps.
It has surely been one of the most intense and incredible experiences I've ever had in the field.

I hope you'll enjoy it and all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

All the best.

Bruno,

Welcome to Wildlife. Great post. I love the action and the intensity in the fox's face. Show us more. It does appear a bit dark overall. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Bruno glad you posted !!!!!! Congratulations !!!! 8) 8) 8) You sure picked a fine one to start!!!! Love the intense look and the frantic attempted scape by the little rodent !!!! 8) 8)

Not easy processing from laptop but looks fine at my end !!!! The slight crop from the left was good and might go a bit more (not much)

Congratulations on a very fine image!!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

Wow! This is incredible.

As Cheryl says, it looks a bit dark. (But not bad for being from a laptop--it'll be easily fixed.)

Awesome capture! You should convert your your images to sRGB before posting, since none of the web browsers on Windows understand ICC profiles, your images will look screwed up otherwise.

Hope you don't mind this repost:

Would love to see the series. A great wildlife photo. Repost does help quite a bit also.

Sorry for the profile, I've completely forgot about converting in sRGB...
Thanks, Tilo: the repost works much better!

The kind of photo that would do well in the 'BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year' competition...

Cheers,
