Lake Blue Cypress is about 15 miles east of Yeehaw Junction. The big draw for me is the numerous low osprey nests and fantastic opportunities for flight images of these birds. For landscape photographers this is a gold mine as well. Taken from the shoreline, hand held since I got there too late to set up my tripod. If your put in your boat before sunrise, there are endless opportunities for even better images.

20D, 28-135 IS lens, near full frame.

Comments and reposts welcome.

You're killing me with this image. This is so close to where I grew up and I had no idea about this--not that I ever had a boat. Is there access from the shore? I have to find this next time I go down to visit.

Outstanding colors and use of trees and BG.

Wonderful hues in this one, Jim! And thanks for the expert directions! Now if you'll just tell me where the heck Yeehaw Junction is!

Jim,
Stunning colors, like the way the hues of the pink changes both top and bottom. Very nicely done.

Nice. I particularly like the rippled reflections and would personally crop the top to just above the trees.
