I haven't posted anything on the net in ages. It was very windy here over the Fourth, so I took one of my lilies inside to photograph. Everything is exactly as it was shot, except that I have added a large amount of Gaussian blur to the man-made background. (Do you think this background works, or would a more natural color like green work better?)
Canon 10D, tripod, Canon 100 2.8 macro, f27, 20 sec., Kenko tube, iso 200, window light.
For those who take the time to critique or comment, thank you very much!

I think blue works as well as green for the BG. Well done on all techs and composed. Actually you could have pted to put this in the Flora and Macro but I glad you chose us. Either crowd is very contemplative in commenting.

I really like this image a lot. I have images of this species of lilly that are closer up. I like the fact that all of your stamen are in focus and the blue BG is great also. Keep the images coming.

Very nice. I think the blue sets off the green very well here and I like the texture of the BG.
Was this a lily left by a tall person at Harvey's mauseleum?

I like it, I find the blue background quite striking. It sort of looks like an ocean or other body of water background. The composition is great!

Paul-
Actually, I was unable to get the flower from Harvey's mausoleum, as Harvey guards that thing like a hawk. _I have found, though, that the cemetery is an excellent source of fresh flowers of all varieties
