Beetle Portrait

I found a couple of these "unknown to me" beetles hanging around so I volunteered them for portraits! They really have a rich honey blonde color to them and, although somewhat plain, I find them quite attractive.

Nikon D70
Sigma 150mm macro w/1.4x TC
f/22
1/3 sec
ISO 400
abmient late afternoon light

Here's a full body image for help with ID. They are about an inch long so fairly large for an average beetle around Middle TN. Anybody know what it is?
