1 year old Mtn Goat - ©2005 Bob Smith

Last year's kid has grown a bit... but still looks cute!
I debated on posting this image as I feel its too tight in the frame. I was surrounded by goats, with little opportunity to move for a better composition. But I loved the face of this little one, so here it is...

D2x, 200-400VR @ 200mm, ISO 200, 1/2000 sec, f/5.6, -1.3 Exp Comp, handheld.

So cute!

The tightness doesn't bother me at all! You could always add some canvas if you wanted more room.

Exposure looks great to me, too.

When I first saw this, I focused on that adorable face and I didn't even notice the tightness until you mentioned it.

You know you're having a good day when you're surrounded by animals and the comps are too tight! :D

A bit tight, but certainly very cute with a good pose. Nice job on the exposure. Goats sure get beautiful coats. Nice shot.

Superb. For me the tightness works - wouldn't change a thing.

Cheers,

I like the inclusion of the snow and the dark background really helps to make the goat standout. Very nice.
