This is quite lovely Matthew! I love how soft those pastels in the flowers and greenery are and the bumble's bold colours (I think you've got the ID right, though I'm a bit puzzled by the yellow on the head (oh well, maybe she was just a bit too enthusiastic with the hair colouring ) stand out nicely. On my monitor it looks as if the blacks could use a tiny bit more 'blackening' (in cases like this I usually go to selective colours and make the blacks just a tad blacker). Lovely shot anyways!!

Cheers!
Arthur Sevestre

Hey Matthew,

Very good image.
I've never seen a bee with orange in its color, so this looks cool.
Well done. 8)

Sweeeet! I adore the beautiful soft pastels here. The relatively low contrast works beautifully. Very well done.

DOF looks great to me. A beautifully exposed bumble is a fine setting. Low contrast helps with the blacks.

Nice soft colours and lighting Matthew. Very hard to get strong details out of the blacks on bumble bee's, so very well done here. Unusual coloured butt on this one and slightly different in colours to our bumble bee's. nice shot and work.
