Wished for a better BG but my opportunity to shoot this guy was limited by an ERR 99 on my camera.
These guys are just too cool.

Hi
You got to love the colouring upon these guys and overall a really pleasing and enjoyable image. I think that perhaps you should have included all of the subject’s front leg just because I feel it seems a little strange to be cut so close to its end. Regarding the background, well personally I rather like it; it has a nice jungle like feel to it without distracting from the subject. Perhaps you could have used flash to expose the subject and then exposed the background a stop or so darker just to enhance that shady under the trees feel. But personally I think it ok as it is.

Best Regards
Matthew

Wonderful scale detail. Sorry to read about the camera error!

Looks like he was in the last stages of shedding. Too bad about the err. The background is a little distracting. It is a very nice shot regardless.
Thanks for posting,

Gees, my favourite creature on this planet. No, the background looks darn natural. Stunning colours and details. I'm in love with this shot, phew !!!. Sure wish it was mine.

All the best and brilliant macro/closeup. (Yes I'm jealous  )

Danny.
