this past weekend we found a charming wilderness campsite on a tiny point of land. as is typical of adirondack shorelines, the number of leaning trees was incredible. some grow to such tremendous size (the tree in the middle photograph is quite large - 35ft/3ft diameter) in the shallow soil, it's a mystery why they don't topple in the water.

The vignetting effect at the corners is interesting and adds a lot in the square format.
