this past weekend we found a charming wilderness campsite on a tiny point of land. as is typical of adirondack shorelines, the number of leaning trees was incredible. some grow to such tremendous size (the tree in the middle photograph is quite large - 35ft/3ft diameter) in the shallow soil, it's a mystery why they don't topple in the water.

Mark Hobson My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful. |
